ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) WROTE A SONG TO WARN US ABOUT THE DANGERS OF MISUSE OF THAT AND OTHER TECHNOLOGIES

I was blown away when I listened for the first time to our song called Turn The Tide about saving Planet Earth from technology misuse. It was created with Artificial Intelligence (AI).
My website, 100YearsToExtinction.com, my media posts, and my upcoming novel, 100 Years To Extinction, warn about the dangerous consequences of misused modern technology, AI among them. Stephen Hawking, who predicted in 2017 that humans would be extinct on Planet Earth in 100 Years, said this: “The development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race.” But our song is one of the many awesome wonders that drive the lightning speed advance of AI. We want its wonders, but we must guard against its dangers.
The song was created by Keo Heng, a technical director with over 20 years’ experience in the video game field, using Suno AI. Suno AI is an advanced AI platform specializing in music generation and text-to-music conversion. Keo was the producer of our project’s video called The Tyranny of Technology that summarizes the dangers of modern technology: fossil fuels from the 19th Century; nuclear technology, the Internet, and social media from the 20th Century; and genetic engineering and AI in the 21st Century. To create the song, Keo described the video, listed the threats, and provided the key elements for the musical style. Suno.AI created the lyrics, music and vocals. Keo edited the lyrics for a second pass. I did editing of the lyrics for the final versions produced in three musical styles. Harvest Development Group created the narrative-driven imagery for the music video to captures the emotional urgency of the message about the future of our planet. Keo also used AI for the production of The Tyranny of Technology video. The Peter Solomon that appears in the video is AI generated from my photograph and speaks using my voice font. He kind of looks like me, but much more serious.
There are many other benefits of AI in medicine, science, and the performance of dangerous or boring routine jobs. But the dangers exist for applications such as deep fakes or user engagement algorithms that offer chaos and mayhem rather than peace and tranquility.
And how far will the technology advance? Will superintelligent AI robots that we’ve created take charge of our civilization and colonize the whole galaxy? Do we care if it’s AI superintelligence that maintains and spreads the civilization that we humans created? Imagine the meeting of our robots with those from another galaxy 1 million years from now. Both delegations are fascinated with the story that each culture was originally created by an animal species.
